"Flatstock, the world of music posters" is a free exhibition where a selection of 70 works chosen by Flatstock and The Poster Collective will be on show. It will start today 15th May until 3rd June in the La Virreina Centre de la Imatge and is complementary to the Flatstock 34 fair, that will take place on the Parc del Fòrum site from 31st until 2nd June.
The protagonists of this event are Adam Pobiak, Billy Perkins, Boss Construction, Casey Burns, Clint Wilson, Damientran, Dan Macadam, Diego Mena, Douze, El Sr. Gómez, Error! Design, Fabio Meschini, Gary Houston, Gina Kelly, Grace Helly Graphics, Graham Pilling, Guy Burwell, Joan Guàrdia, John Howard, Justin Santora, Kunny van der Ploeg, Lil Tuffy, Luke Drozd, Michael Cowell, Michael Hacker, Mirjam Dijkema, Mitchum d.a., Munster Studio, Sean Mort, Señor Burns, Serxio Huelin, Shawn Knight, Slowboy, Srta. Swallow, The Decoder Ring and Zissou Tasseff.
Founded by Error! Design en 2010, The Poster Collective is an association that was created in order to publicize and promote poster art at a national level.
Flatstock is a project of API (American Poster Institute) a non-profit organisation that unites music and the visual art through the promotion of music posters. This non-profit organisation is dedicated to promoting music posters. Since its beginnings in San Francisco a decade ago, it has not stopped growing and now comprises hundreds of artists and followers. The fair has participated in important international festivals like SXSW and Pitchfork Music Festival Chicago and now it will come to Barcelona with San Miguel Primavera Sound.
