In 2007 Primavera Sound decided, in a pioneering move, to include an area of activities aimed at a family audience and they took advantage of minimúsica’s educational project to put it into practice. This year marks ten years of this collaboration, during which they have worked together towards their common goal of bringing children closer to quality modern music, by giving them the opportunity to live an interactive experience with the complicity of the artists who adapt their repertoire to appeal to an audience of children.
The minimúsica area will be up and running from Friday 3rd June in the Parc del Fòrum and will host workshops and activities geared to the development of creativity and the musical education of a younger audience. On Saturday 4th from 6pm there will be concerts by the punk pop band Los Carradine, Mau Boada’s project Esperit!, the Barcelona band Me and The Bees and the quintet Doble Pletina. The space will have a free play area with qualified monitors, a baby care area, a private space for breastfeeding and protective headphones will be handed out.
The Sones initiative will also be running on Sunday 5th June at 11:30 am in the Sala Teatre of the CCCB within the framework of the free activities of Primavera al Raval with the show “Jamaikids”, a time machine that travels through the history of Jamaican music, from the Ska of the 60s to contemporary dancehall music.
